Enabling database log retention

You must enable DB2® LUW log retention before using CDC Replication.

You are required to enable log retention for each database that you intend to use for replication with the logarchmeth1 parameter in DB2 LUW version 10.1 or later (or the logretain parameter for all earlier versions of DB2 LUW). For more information on how to complete this task, see the documentation for your version of DB2 for LUW. You must also enable log retention with the logarchmeth1 or logretain parameter for newly added partitions in a DPF environment on your CDC Replication source system.
