Hardware and software requirements

Before you install CDC Replication, ensure that the system you choose meets the necessary operating system, hardware, software, communications, disk, and memory requirements.

Management Console and Access Server must be the same version and build number. Management Console and Access Server must be as new or newer, by date, than the CDC Replication engines to which they connect. The CDC Replication engine dates do not need to match those of Management Console and Access Server, nor do the engine dates need to match each other.

If you already have Management Console and Access Server installed, find the version and build number by running the dmshowversion command, located in the bin directory of your CDC Replication installation directory. You must run the command from this directory.
