Adding a JMS message destination (UNIX and Linux®)

After you have defined connection settings to a JMS message destination, you need to specify the identity of the destination (queue or topic) by specifying its name and the JMS request destination.

Procedure

  1. Enter 2 to add a JMS destination.
  2. Enter the number of the JMS connections you want for this message destination.
  3. Enter a name for this message destination.
  4. Enter a description.
  5. Enter the name of the queue or topic to which you want to send the XML message.
  6. Enter Y to ensure the message is not lost in transit due to a JMS provider failure.
  7. If you want the CDC Replication Engine for Event Server to open a transacted session and commit every message to the JMS queue or topic, enter Y.
  8. Enter Y to test the destination.
  9. Enter 2 to complete confirmation of the JMS destinations and to create the instance.

    After successfully creating the instance, the configuration tool prompts you to start the instance.

  10. Enter Y to start the instance.
