Editing an instance of the CDC Replication Engine for Db2® Database (UNIX and Linux®)

You can edit an existing instance of CDC Replication.

Procedure

  1. Stop CDC Replication by using the dmshutdown command. You cannot edit an instance that is running.
  2. At the command prompt, launch the configuration tool by issuing the following command from the CDC Replication installation directory/bin directory:

    ./dmconfigurets

  3. Enter 1 and press Enter to list the installed instances of CDC Replication. Record the name of the instance you want to modify.
  4. Enter 3 and press Enter to modify an instance of CDC Replication.
  5. Enter the number of the instance that you want to modify and press Enter.

    The configuration tool allows you to edit a number of values that you specified when adding an instance.

  6. After making your changes, enter 5 and press Enter to apply your changes and return to the main menu. Enter 6 and press Enter to discard your changes.
