Enabling tracing for Management Console and Access Server

Once tracing is enabled for Management Console and Access Server, log files are generated which can be collected by Support Assistant.

Procedure

  1. Click Help > Service Information > Trace Options
  2. Select the Enable the collection of tracing information check box to activate tracing.
  3. In the Trace Methods area, select one of the following options:
    Capture Access Server messages
    Select this option to diagnose configuration and monitoring problems between Management Console, Access Server and datastores.
    This is the default setting.
    Capture Management Console messages
    Select this option to diagnose problems between a single Management Console, Access Server, and datastores.
    Capture Access Server logging information
    Select this option to diagnose Access Server–specific problems.
    Only select this option when instructed by IBM® Support.
  4. Click OK.
