Product architecture

IBM® IoT Connected Vehicle Insights is a platform for building connected vehicle solutions that is designed to store and analyze vast amounts of vehicle and environmental data. By collecting data from connected in-car sensors, traffic, weather, geographical, and other environmental systems, IBM IoT Connected Vehicle Insights provides position-based services that are linked to road network information and driver assistance services.

IBM IoT Connected Vehicle Insights is designed to support industry standard protocols, such as MQTT, HTTP, UDP, TCP, and other protocols that are commonly used by the Automotive industries to build smart IoT solutions.

IBM IoT Connected Vehicle Insights provides an abstraction layer to communicate with various devices, a control point to dispatch messages to agents, dynamic map management, and data analytic services.

High availability (HA) is provided for all production instances of IBM IoT Connected Vehicle Insights. HA is not provided for development or testing instances of the service.
