Prerequisites - before you start

Before you start the CPLEX® Studio IDE.

At this stage, it is assumed that you have already successfully installed IBM® ILOG® CPLEX Studio on your platform.

At this point you are ready to launch the CPLEX Studio IDE (or the IDE for short) as explained in Launching the IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio IDE.

Once the IDE is open, you can read:

• The Graphical User Interface in the IDE Reference to discover the graphical user interface.

• Creating a project if you feel familiar enough with the interface and want to start working on a project immediately.

Other useful documents to read are:

• A quick start to IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio for an introduction to how the OPL language handles optimization problems.

• Introduction to the IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio IDE, the first section of this manual.
