Browsing a model without execution

Describes how to browse a model without executing it if you are not interested in the solution.

If, at some point, you want to examine the structure of a model but are not interested in the solution, you can browse the model without executing it.

To browse the model before execution:

  1. Use the File > New > Example menu command to open the production example.
  2. To browse the model, select production.mod, then click the arrow of the Browse button Browse button in the execution toolbar and choose Browse Configurations.
  3. The Browse dialog window opens:
    Browse dialog

Enter the information as shown in the screen capture and click the Apply button.

  4. The run configuration is added under OPL Run Configuration in the left pane of the Browse dialog. Now you can click the Browse button on this same dialog to launch this run configuration in browse mode.
    Note:

You could also close the Browse dialog window and then click the arrow of the Browse button Browse button and choose the run configuration you just created from the list:

Compare Figure 1 with Figure 1 in Getting Started with the IDE (or run the same run configuration in run mode).
