What's new in IBM® Network Intelligence
Release updates - May 2026
- Support for network log data: Network Intelligence allows you to import the network log data through Kafka for network analysis and detect observations based on the log data. To import the network log data, see Importing network log data.
- Instance name for data sources: The Data sources section is updated to include the Instance name field to provide a unique name for the SevOne and HPE Juniper Mist data sources instance. For more information, see Integrating SevOne in Network Intelligence and Importing HPE Juniper Mist data in the IBM Network Intelligence.
- Enable and disable functions for Skills: The Skills section is updated to include the toggle switch to enable and disable the skill workflow. For more information, see Skills.
Release updates - April 2026
- Connectors integration: The connectors feature integrates third-party application such as Slack to communicate and share data in Network Intelligence. You can mention the Network Intelligence in a Slack chat and start a conversation to retrieve the information for your query. For more information, see Integrating external applications using Connectors.
- Managing devices: You can manage the devices that need to be included or excluded for the network analysis in the Manage devices section.Network Intelligence analyzes data only from devices with Analysis On status. For more information, see Managing devices.
- Adding device metrics for interfaces and equipment: Add the device metrics of interfaces and equipment to the metric group to include them in the analysis for detecting the network observations. The observation graph in the Investigations page displays metric values that are added to groups in the Observation metrics page. For more information, see Observation metrics.
- Approval flow in Tool management: You can configure the approval settings for integrated tools to control whether Network Intelligence requests your permission before running the integrated tools. For more information, see Tool management.
- Activate and deactivate all tool functions: You can enable and disable all the tool functions with the Activate all and Deactivate all options. For more information, see Tool management.
- Investigations updates: The Investigations page is updated to display the network device topology to map impacted sites, devices, and their interfaces and equipment. For more information, see Investigations.

Release updates - March 2026
- Support for alarm data type: Network Intelligence supports the alarm data type from the SevOne data source. To ingest the alarm data from the SevOne data source, see Importing SevOne data in IBM Network Intelligence.
- SevOne data source integration: You can integrate the SevOne data source in the Network Intelligence to obtain the connection credentials and certificates to configure the SevOne connection. For more information, see data-sources.html#concept_7.
- Platform component in Manage credentials: The Platform component field in the Manage credentials section displays the integrated services such as APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, or data source that actively uses the specific credential.
- Added Events graph: You can enable and view the events graph based on the severity in the Investigations and IP routers. The events graph are applicable only when you ingest alarm or event data from the SevOne data source. For more information, see Investigations and IP routers.

- Skills function: This new feature on the Network Intelligence dashboard allows you create and manage repeatable workflows for common tasks, and then use these predefined skills in the chat facility. For more information, see Skills.
- Approval flow in the chat interface: The tools that are integrated in the Tool management need your approval to allow the AI assistant to access the tools in the chat interface. For more information, see Features of the IBM Network Intelligence.

- External data sources integration: You can integrate the external data sources such as HPE Juniper Mist to import the network data in the Network Intelligence. For more information, see Data sources.
- False positive feature: Network Intelligence allows you to mark the network observations as false positive. For more information, see Investigations and Marking network observation as false positive.
- Reanalyze function for multiple investigations: You can reanalyze the multiple investigations at a time. For more information, see Investigations.

- MCP server integration: You can integrate the MCP servers in the Network Intelligence with the Tool management. For more information, see Integrating Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
- Analysis time feature: chat assistant in the Network Intelligence is updated to include the Analysis time feature. You can set the Analysis time option to Quick, Standard, or Extended to configure the analysis time for the chat query based on your specific requirements.

- Anomaly detection: Network Intelligence analyzes your network data to identify the anomalies in the network and generate remediation plan based on the input data.
- Automated root-cause hypothesis generation: Network Intelligence performs semantic context-driven analysis and uses the network context documents to identify possible causes and remediation for the network anomaly.
- Supported domain and data type: Network Intelligence supports metrics data of the Internet Protocol (IP) network devices and Radio Access Network. Supported data sources: Network Intelligence supports ingestion of network metrics data from SevOne, HPE Juniper Mist, and data stores. For more information, see Importing network data in the IBM Network Intelligence.
- Support for information technology service management (ITSM) integration: You can integrate your existing ITSM tools such as ServiceNow® or custom ticket management system in the Network Intelligence. Network Intelligence creates the ticket automatically for the potential anomaly. For more information, see Integrating service APIs in the IBM Network Intelligence.
- Support for retrieval augmented generation (RAG): You can upload and configure the network context documents in the Network Intelligence to improve the accuracy of RCA and remediation for the network anomalies. Network Intelligence retrieves the information from the uploaded documents when you submit a query in the chat.
The supported file types are DOCX, PDF, and MD. For more information, see Importing network context documents.
