Encrypting data sets
The IBM® MQ data sets can be encrypted with z/OS® data set encryption, so that the data is protected, or for regulatory reasons.
You can protect all page sets, active log, archive log, and bootstrap (BSDS) data sets with
z/OS data set encryption.
Attention: You
cannot protect shared message data sets (SMDS) with z/OS data set encryption by IBM MQ for z/OS 9.1.4 or earlier.
