Changing IP addresses in disaster recovery configurations

If you change the IP addresses of either of the interfaces in a disaster recovery configuration, replication is no longer possible between the two nodes.

If you need to change IP addresses for the replication interface for either of your DR nodes, you must use the following procedure:
  1. Delete the DR queue managers on each node. First back up the queue managers and then delete them, see Backing up and restoring IBM MQ queue manager data and Deleting a DR RDQM.
  2. Recreate the DR queue managers, specifying the new IP addresses, and restore the back ups, see Creating a disaster recovery RDQM and Backing up and restoring IBM MQ queue manager data.
