Migrating on Windows: side-by-side
Before you begin
If you are using IBM WebSphere® MQ 7.0.1, you must ensure that you are running IBM WebSphere MQ 7.0.1 Fix Pack 6 or later before installing the later version of the product on the same server. For more information about IBM WebSphere MQ 7.0.1 fix packs, see Recommended Fixes for IBM MQ.
ccsid_part2.tbl
file takes precedence over the
ccsid.tbl
file and:- Allows you to add or modify CCSID entries
- Specify default data conversion
- Specify data for different command levels
- Linux® - all versions
- Solaris
- Windows
If you have added any of your own CCSID
information into your existing ccsid.tbl
file, you should copy this information
into the new ccsid_part2.tbl
file, if you want to take advantage of the new formats
in your customizations
You should copy the required information, rather than move the information, so that your existing version of IBM MQ continues to work.
