Moving data

There are several methods for loading or migrating data to and from Integrated Analytics System, depending on where the data currently resides.

Migrating to Integrated Analytics System
Migration to Integrated Analytics System (IAS) involves assessing compatibility with your previous system, migrating your schema, and then moving your data into IAS. There are a number of tools available to help you with these migration tasks, depending on the source format of your data.
Loading using external tables
The dbload command is available for use with external tables. This command is part of the dbtoolkit.
Migrating data between two appliances
You can use the db_migrate_iias tool to migrate tables from one IAS appliance to another using the external tables capability.
Virtual consolidation of your data (Federation)
In a federated database, a query can access data in a data source that is different from the one to which the query was submitted. Federation capability is integrated into Db2® Warehouse.
Moving to IBM Cloud
The Lift to cloud user interface provides a way for you to quickly, securely, and reliably migrate tables and their data from your on-premise data center to a data center in the cloud, without downtime. Each migration task that you submit is automatically saved and can be used as a template to create new tasks.
