Disabling root lock-down

In IAS version 1.0.19.1 and above, you can manually disable root lock-down.

Procedure

  1. Log in as the root user on node0101.
    The default root password is puffin.
  2. Run the following command: 
    /opt/ibm/appliance/platform/xcat/scripts/security/manage_root_lockdown -m disable
    Note: After root lock-down is removed, you are fully responsible for managing the root password on all nodes.
