Starting replication sets

You can start replication for an entire replication set.

About this task

When you start replication for a set, any table that was not manually inactivated is started. Changes to the tables are captured and transported to the target database, where they are applied to the corresponding target tables.

Procedure

Use one of the following methods to start replication sets:
  • From the Data Replication screen, open the menu at the far right of the row for a replication set and click Start Replication.
Menu for replication set with start replication option

You will receive a warning message that starting the set will trigger an initial load of all target tables with data from the source. Any data that is already in the target tables will be overwritten by the loading process.

  • For an inactive replication set, open the monitoring screen for the set by clicking the set's row on the Data Replication screen and click Start Replication.
  • When you create a replication set, click the Automatically start the replication set after it is configured check box before you click Configure.
