Monitoring replication throughput
Throughput – the number of rows that are replicated during a given time period – is a good indicator of replication performance, and you can monitor throughput at both the source and target with one graphical tool in the console.
The Average Replication Throughput area on the replication set monitoring page shows the average number of rows per second that are applied to target tables for the entire replication set.
The chart below that uses two indicator lines to break down throughput at the source and target:
- The dark green line in the chart represents capture throughput, the number of row-level log records that were read at the source during the time period.
- The blue line represents Apply throughput, the number of rows that were applied to target tables.
Figure 1 shows the Average Replication Throughput area.
You can change the time period for the statistics by clicking the clock icon in the upper right corner of the Replication Set Monitoring area.
