Creating a UDAF written in Lua

This section uses examples to illustrate how to create, on a Db2® system, a user-defined aggregate function (UDAF) written in Lua.

UDAF in Lua: Example 1
This example creates a function called dp_avg that calculate an average for a double precision value. This UDA performs the same function as the SQL AVG aggregate function, but only for the DOUBLE data type.
UDAF in Lua: Example 2
This example creates an analytic function (that is, a function that is invoked with an OVER clause) called max2 that returns the value in a column that is in the same row as the maximum value of another column in the same table.
