Configuring IBM Spectrum Protect

Before you can back up or restore IBM® Db2® Warehouse by using IBM Spectrum Protect server, you must configure IBM Spectrum Protect client on Db2 Warehouse. IBM Spectrum Protect was formerly known as IBM Tivoli Storage Manager.

About this task

You can configure IBM Spectrum Protect client for LAN-based operations or for LAN-free operations.

Important: In order to run LAN-free operations, contact IBM Support for initial setup.
