Troubleshooting spatial routines and procedures

Use messages and the contents of the administration notification file to diagnose problems.

Troubleshoot problems with spatial functions or procedures in one of the following ways:
  • Use the message information to diagnose the problem.
  • Use the message information returned by the database manager when calling spatial stored procedures or functions. Depending on the interface that you use, the information consists of a message code in the form of an integer, a message text, or both.
  • View the Db2® administration notification file, which records diagnostic information about errors.
If necessary, and for recurring and reproducible problems, contact an IBM customer support representative. You might be asked to use the Db2 trace facility to help them diagnose the problem.
