Monitoring the appliance hardware components
You can use either the web console or CLI to monitor the IBM® Integrated Analytics System hardware components.
Procedure
- Use the web console. On the main page, click Monitor > System > Hardware .
A graphical overview of the rack on the left side shows the hardware components in their physical locations. Yellow warning icons and red critical icons are displayed by the components that are not working correctly. You can click any component to view its details. When you select a node, you can also enable or disable it.
On the right side, general details are displayed for the rack:- The list of high severity alerts
- Nodes with their status, alerts, CPU and memory usage
- Management switches, their status and alerts
- Fabric switches, their status and alerts
- Flash system, its status and alerts
- RPCs, their status and alerts
- Use the ap hw command, as described in ap
command. A table listing hardware components and their status is displayed.
- ap hw displays top level components of hardware inventory.
- ap hw -d displays all inventory items.
- ap hw -t <type> displays all inventory items of a given type.
- ap hw <location> displays details for the inventory item in a given location.
- ap hw <location> -s displays all subcomponents of the inventory item in a given location.
