Monitoring service function use through SST or DST

You can use the service tools security log to monitor service functions. Any time a user signs on to system service tools (SST) or dedicated service tools (DST) using a service tools user ID, the event is logged by the service tools security log.

You can work with the service tools security log using SST and DST.

Using SST:
  1. Access SST.
  2. Select option 8 (Work with Service Tools Server Security and Devices).
  3. Select option 6 (Display the service tools security log). This display shows security-related activity by date and time.
  4. Type 5 (Display details) in the Option field of the activity you are interested in. The Display Service Tools Security Log Details display is shown with the information for the activity you selected.
Using DST:
  1. Access DST
  2. Select option 5 (Work with DST environment).
  3. Select option 4 (Service tools security data).
  4. Select option 3 (Display service tools security log). This display shows security-related activity by date and time.
  5. Type 5 (Display details) in the Option field of the activity you are interested in. The Display Service Tools Security Log Details display is shown with the information for the activity you selected.
