Stopping NVMe Hot spare protection

This topic provides instructions for stopping NVMe Hot spare protection

To stop NVMe hot spare protection with the command line, take the following steps:

Start System Service Tools (STRSST), and specify the user name and password
On the System Service Tools (SST) display, select Work with disk units
On the Work with Disk Units display, select Work with disk configuration
On the Work with Disk Configuration display, select Work with NVMe Devices
On the Work with NVMe Device display, select Work with NVMe Hot Spare
On the Work with NVMe Hot Spare display, select Stop NVMe Hot Spare
On the Stop NVMe Hot Spare display, select the NVMe devices that you want to stop Hot Spare
On the Confirm Stop NVMe Hot Spare display, use the F10 key to confirm the choice to stop hot spare on the selected NVMe devices
