Add an NVMe to the existing NVMe password protection policy

This section describes how to add an unprotected NVMe to the NVMe password protection policy on the IBM i logical partition.

Follow these steps to add an NVMe to the existing NVMe password protection policy:

  1. On the Use System Service Tools (SST) display, select Work with Disk Units
  2. On the Work with Disk Units display, select Work with disk configuration
  3. On the Work with Disk Configuration display, select Work with Locking Policy
  4. On the Work with Locking Policy display, select Add device to the Locking Policy

After the above steps have been completed the password of the NVMe password protection policy is stored in the specified NVMe. That NVMe is now password protected.
