Enabling a service tools user ID
You can enable a service tools user ID using system service tools (SST), dedicated service tools (DST), or the Change SST User (CHGSSTUSR) command.
Your service tools user ID must have the service tool security functional privilege.
Using SST:
- Access SST.
- Select option 8 (Work with Service Tools Server Security and Devices).
- Select option 1 (Work with Service Tools user IDs).
Select option 6 (Change profile attributes) on the line associated with the user you want to work with and press Enter.
Enter 1 (Yes) in the Profile enabled field.
- Press Enter to confirm your choice to enable the service tools user ID.
Using DST:
- Access DST
- Select option 5 (Work with DST environment).
- Select option 3 (Service tools user IDs).
Select option 6 (Change profile attributes) on the line associated with the user you want to work with and press Enter.
Enter 1 (Yes) in the Profile enabled field.
- Press Enter to confirm your choice to enable the service tools user ID.
Using the Change SST User (CHGSSTUSR) command:
- The Change SST User (CHGSSTUSR) command can be used to enable a service tools user ID.
