Media interchange

Universal Disk Format (UDF) media created on the IBM i operating system is UDF Version 2.01. This media can be interchanged to other operating systems that support this version of UDF.

UDF-compliant media that is created with UDF Version 1.5 or earlier is accessible as read-only. Media created with UDF Version 2.0 and UDF 2.01 is accessible for read and write. Optical media created with UDF version 2.5 are accessible as read-only. Removable Mass Storage (RMS) media created with UDF version 2.5 are accessible for read and write.
