Software tape encryption

Use the products and applications that are described to encrypt your data.

In order to perform software tape encryption it is necessary to have the following products and applications installed on your partition:

• Option 18 - Media and Storage Extensions
• Option 44 - Encrypted Backup enablement

You will also need a tape management application to specify encryption keystore file and record label information for each file that is to be encrypted.
