Testing a connection

After you finish configuring both systems and you have successfully started the VPN servers, test the connectivity to ensure that the remote subnets can communicate with each other.

To test your connection, follow these steps:

  1. In IBM Navigator for i, expand Network > All Tasks > TCP/IP Configuration.
  2. Click Work with Ping.
  3. From the Ping panel, enter System C in the IP address or host name field.
  4. Click Ping Now to verify connectivity from System A to System C.
  5. Click OK when you are finished.
