Two primary case
After a HyperSwap® failover and until the HyperSwap relationship is restarted, each DS8000®s reports that it is the primary. If the mirroring relationship is not restarted before the IBM® i partition is IPLed, the IPL will fail, requiring the user to manually correct the condition from the DS8000.
The two primary case can be determined in one of the following ways.
- By entering the DSPHYSSTS command, the HyperSwap copy status is shown as XXXX.
- Hourly messages are posted to QSYSOPR indicating there is a problem with the HyperSwap relationship.
