QRECOVERY/QDBppnnnn *FILE -*PUBLIC authority

Database files in library QRECOVERY with the name QDBppnnnnn, where ‘pp’ is a two character operation code and ‘nnnnn’ is a unique number are used to track the progress and history of long running database maintenance operations.

These files are used by IBM® i Access Client Solutions (ACS) within the Schemas-based Database Maintenance dialog.

When a database IASP is being used, these files reside within the QRCY00nnn library, where ‘nnn’ corresponds to the IASP number.

On IBM i with the listed PTFs, the QRECOVERY/QDBppnnnn *FILEs will have *PUBLIC *EXCLUDE. Before these PTFs the authority was set to *PUBLIC *ALL.
