Creating a workflow with Integration Agent

Use the Integration Agent to automatically create a workflow that adds a new opportunity to the selected Marketo account, whenever a new opportunity is created in your Salesforce account.

Before you begin

  • Check that the webMethods Integration capability is added for your tenant.
  • Check that preconfigured Salesforce and Marketo accounts are available in the Default project.

About this tutorial

  1. Click the Start typing to open chat input field in the welcome banner. If the banner is not visible, click the AI icon on the webMethods Integration home page to open the conversation interface.
  2. Click Workflows and then select the When a Salesforce opportunity is created then create an opportunity in Marketo prompt.
  3. From the Select Connectors list, select Salesforce and click Confirm.
  4. From the Select Actions list, select createOpportunities, and click Confirm.
  5. When the Integration Agent prompts you to confirm whether you want to create the workflow in an existing project, click Yes.
  6. From the Select project list, select Default and click Confirm.
  7. Click the Edit icon to rename the workflow as necessary and then click Confirm.
  8. From the Select user account for Salesforce list, select your existing Salesforce account and then click Confirm. Selecting your account provides access to the Salesforce account so that the Integration Agent can run the trigger event.
  9. From the Select user account for Marketo list, select your existing Marketo account and then click Confirm. The Integration Agent identifies the required Salesforce – New Opportunity trigger event and configures it using the available data.
  10. Review and modify the trigger configurations as needed and click Save.
  11. Click Test to test the trigger with real-time data or click Skip .
  12. Click Done. The Integration Agent identifies the required Marketo – Create Opportunity action and configures it using the available data. It also generates data-mapping suggestions based on the similarities between the two services.
  13. Review the generated mapping suggestions and select the necessary ones to add them in the workflow. You can also create custom mappings by dragging and dropping incoming data keys on the Action configure form.
  14. Click Next and then click Done. The Integration Agent saves the updated data mappings.
  15. When the Integration Agent prompts you to test the workflow, click Sample data and then click Confirm. The Integration Agent then tests the workflow with sample data and saves it in the Default project.
  16. Click the Projects menu, select Default, and click the workflow card to view and modify the configurations any time you want.

What you did in this tutorial

Using the Integration Agent, you created and tested a workflow. The workflow runs whenever a new opportunity is added to a Salesforce account and automatically adds the opportunity to the specified Marketo account.
