About this task

The global catalog is a federated metadata layer, which enables AI agents, across authoring, monitoring, and troubleshooting, to query in real time and deliver contextual guidance within webMethods Integration workflows. It addresses major platform challenges such as asset discovery, dependency management, and reuse.

Procedure

  1. Add the webMethods Integration capability.
  2. In the webMethods Integration capability, add the connector accounts, predefined actions, and triggers in a new or existing project that you want the Integration Agent to be able to access.
  3. Click the webMethods Hybrid Integration Home page main menu icon of four horizontal white lines on a black background. main menu, and then click Global catalog settings from the Administration section.
  4. On the Global catalog settings page, click Add assets, then select the projects that you want to add to the catalog and click Add. If you have created a new project, clicking the Add assets option adds the new project with its assets to the catalog. The catalog retrieves the assets from the selected projects and adds the assets. The Integration Agent uses these assets when you create an integration.
  5. If you have updated or added assets to an existing project, for example, connector accounts, predefined actions, and triggers, click Sync now to update the assets in the catalog.
  6. To remove specific assets from the catalog, click Remove assets > Specific assets and select the projects that you want to remove. The associated data is removed from the catalog, but the assets remain unchanged in the webMethods Integration capability. You can add the assets again later by using the Add assets option.
  7. Select Remove assets > All assets to delete all assets from the catalog. You can add the assets again later by using the Add assets option again.
  8. Use the search option to view synced assets.
  9. With user permissions, you can view and search synced assets in the catalog. Click the AI icon on the Global catalog settings page to access the Integration Agent, run prompts, and use the goal-oriented, self-service integration authoring to create workflows.
