Connecting applications with the Mesh CLI
To connect your applications and services in IBM® Hybrid Cloud Mesh (Mesh), you must first create a network segment, install Open Horizon agents, and deploy the unmanaged gateways. Then create connection policies to enable applications to access services within the network segment and allow service requests to flow securely through the gateways. Complete these actions by using the Mesh CLI.
Alternatively, if you are onboarding existing Red Hat® Service Interconnect® virtual application networks (VANs) as Mesh network segments, use the Mesh CLI to connect the unmanaged gateways to your clusters. For more information about onboarding VANs, see Onboarding VANs as Mesh network segments.
You can use the Mesh CLI to connect applications and services that run in cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud®, and Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA), as well as in on-premises infrastructure.
