Deleting Service Interconnect edge gateways with the Mesh console

Use the IBM® Hybrid Cloud Mesh (Mesh) console to delete Red Hat® Service Interconnect® gateways from your deployment environment.

About this task

If the gateway is deployed, you must first unlink the gateway from the namespace before you can delete the gateway.

Procedure

  1. On the Gateways page in the Mesh console, click the Red Hat Service Interconnect gateway that you want to delete.
  2. If the gateway is deployed, you must first unlink the gateway from the namespace before you can delete the gateway. Complete these steps:
    1. In the Edge gateway details section, click the namespace where the gateway is deployed.
    2. On the Namespace details page, click Edit Edit icon.
    3. Click Undeploy, then click Next. Then click Save changes to disconnect the gateway from the namespace. Click Continue.
      The gateway that you undeployed is now moved to the Unmanaged gateways tab on the Gateways page.
    4. In the Health field on the Gateways page, check the status of the gateway.
      When the gateway has a Not deployed status, you can delete the gateway.
    5. On the Gateways page, click the gateway.
  3. Click Delete gateway on the Edge gateways page.
  4. Review the list of resources that are affected when you delete the gateway, then type the name of the gateway to confirm that you want to undeploy it.
  5. Select the checkbox to confirm that you understand the impact of deleting the gateway.
  6. Click Delete
    When the gateway is deleted, the following notification is displayed:
    The <gateway_name> was successfully deleted.
    Note: The deletion of a gateway can take several minutes. Don't attempt any operations on the gateway while it is being deleted.
