Client considerations

Most clients are upgraded when they access the server after it has been upgraded. Only a locally installed client needs to be migrated or upgraded. For a locally installed client, the InstallShield for Windows will detect any earlier version of Host On-Demand, uninstall it, and install the Host On-Demand Version 14 client. When using a cached client, you will be notified about the change at the server when accessing it for the first time, and any new files will be downloaded either in the background or foreground. The Host On-Demand Administrator can configure a client to download in either background or foreground or let you choose.
