Connecting with SaaS applications

Connecting IBM Guardium DSPM with a SaaS application is easy and you can enable it with a few clicks. You can discover sensitive data that is stored and shared in SaaS applications.

Before you begin

Verify that you have the following before you start the process of connecting a SaaS application with Guardium DSPM:

  • A user with administrator permissions that can create OAuth connection in the relevant SaaS application
  • The administrator user must be logged in to Guardium DSPM
  • Specifically for Google Drive, there are steps that can be shared and performed outside of Guardium DSPM

Use the following steps to connect Guardium DSPM with a SaaS application:

Procedure

  1. Ensure that you, as an administrative user, are logged into the SaaS application to which you want to connect Guardium DSPM.
  2. Click Cloud Accounts cloud_accounts_icon in the Guardium DSPM pane.
  3. In the Cloud Accounts page, click New Cloud Account.
  4. In the Connect new cloud account dialog box, select SaaS application, and then click Start.
  5. In the Add cloud account dialog box, select the SaaS application with which you want to connect DSPM, and then click Next.
  6. Perform the steps mentioned in the Add account form dialog box, and then click Next.
    You get an overall status message as either of the following:
    • All Done, signifying that the SaaS application is connected successfully.
    • Something went wrong…, signifying that connection to the SaaS application failed, and to connect to the SaaS application, you can click Contact Us.
