Manual installation on IBM Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)

Use an operator to manually install Guardium® Insights on IBM Cloud® Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) Gen 2 with OCS storage class.

Before you begin

• Before you proceed with the installation, complete these steps:

  1. Verify that your environment meets the System requirements and prerequisites and Hardware cluster requirements.
  2. Prepare for installation.
  3. Log in to the OpenShift® command-line interface.
  4. Downloading the Guardium Insights CASE file and set up your environment for dependencies.
• Set up your account to access VPC. Make sure that your account is upgraded to a paid account. For more information, see https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/account?topic=account-accountfaqs#changeacct.
• You need the following permissions to create VPCs and clusters:

Create a Red Hat® OpenShift cluster in the Virtual Private Cloud, log in to the cluster, install IBM Cloud Pak® foundational services. Then, install Guardium Insights.
