Existing data mart pull configuration does not work in a restored environment

Symptoms

After upgrading GuardiumĀ® Insights and restoring a backup, data marts are not pulled from Guardium Data Protection and the guard_filetransfer_log file contains a Permission denied, please try again error.

Resolving the problem

If the Guardium Insights user interface is accessible (for example, you are creating a new cluster and the old cluster is still running):

  1. Before restoring the original cluster, delete its central manager.
  2. Restore the backup to the new cluster.
  3. Disable and then enable streaming on the managed unit.

If the Guardium Insights user interface is not accessible:

  1. Scale down the guardium-connector pods on the backup cluster.
  2. Restore the backup to the new cluster.
  3. Delete the central manager from the new cluster and then register it again.
  4. Enable streaming.
