Providing feedback

Take an active part in improving the accuracy of the Risk Event module. Help IBM enhance and hone the Risk Event's severity level and categories by providing feedback.

Before you begin

Enable Collect feedback

  1. On the Risk Events page, click the Settings icon ().
  2. On the Risk Events settings page, toggle the Collect feedback switch to On.

About this task

By default, the Collect feedback option is disabled. You can enable it if you choose to join forces and participate in enhancing this module.

Providing feedback has two steps – collecting the feedback while you respond to a Risk Event and sending the feedback to IBM.

Collecting the feedback is done in the Respond | Tune dialog box and it is optional, so you can respond without providing feedback even if Collect feedback option is enabled.

The feedback files are simple text files that you can view before you send them. They include no private or sensitive information. The feedback is based on nonconfidential information only, such as number of policy violations in the last hour or percent of DML activities in the last day. The asset's information is NOT included in the feedback file.

Procedure

  1. Collect feedback. When Collect feedback is enabled, there is an extra section on the Respond | Tune dialog box.
    1. Under Provide feedback to tune AI model, select Agree or Disagree to provide feedback on the accuracy of the Risk Event’s category and severity.
    2. If you disagree with the Risk Event’s category, then choose the category that best fits the Risk Event from the category list. You can access a detailed description of each category by clicking the Categories link.
    3. If you disagree with the Risk Event’s severity, then choose the severity that best fits the Risk Event from the severity list.
  2. Send feedback files to IBM. After you collect feedback, you can send the feedback file to IBM. This action can be done periodically at your convenience.
    1. On the Risk Events page, click the Settings icon ().
    2. On the Risk Events settings page, view the number of feedback messages in the Collect feedback card to decide whether you want to send the feedback now.
    3. Click Download feedback. You are then prompted to confirm you want to download the file. When a file is created, the downloaded feedback messages are deleted, and they cannot be downloaded again.
The feedback file is a simple text file. You can view it and decide whether you want to share it with IBM.
    4. Send the report to IBM Guardium support manually from your desktop.
