Administering IBM Security Guardium Insights

Administration tasks for Guardium Insights include managing users and roles - and setting up API keys.

Managing users
The User management page allows you to add Guardium Insights users and administrators - and enable or disable their access privileges. You can also assign roles to users from within this page so that you can control which parts of Guardium Insights they have access to.
Role management
The role management page allows you to add and manage Guardium Insights user roles. Assigning roles to users allows you to control which parts of Guardium Insights they have access to.
API keys
Guardium Insights offers a settings page that allows you to generate application programming interface (API) keys which you can then use for authentication to the interactive API or as basic keys for authentication in cURL commands.
Profile settings
After enabling Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), use the profile settings to refine email notifications. The profile settings allow you to unsubscribe from emails. You can also choose the types of notifications that you want to receive - and modify the frequency, language, and date and time settings for notifications.
Purging hot storage data
Guardium Insights provides a gi_data_purge.sh script that allows you to purge data that is no longer being analyzed.
