Deploying IBM Guardium Cryptography Manager in cloud environments

IBM® Guardium® Cryptography Manager can be deployed in cloud-based Kubernetes environments by using either a fully automated AWS Marketplace deployment or a manual deployment on a supported Kubernetes platform.

The deployment options support organizations that want a rapid, production-ready installation as well as those that require integration with existing Kubernetes infrastructure. Use the AWS Marketplace to deploy Guardium Cryptography Manager on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) with automated provisioning of the required infrastructure, including networking, compute, storage, and security resources. You can also deploy manually on your exsisting EKS cluster.

Alternatively, you can deploy Guardium Cryptography Manager on an existing Kubernetes cluster that you manage. Supported platforms include Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). This deployment model is intended for organizations that already have cloud infrastructure in place and want to integrate Guardium Cryptography Manager into their existing operational, networking, and governance frameworks.

The topics in this section describe the available deployment methods and provide information about the infrastructure, platform requirements, and deployment considerations for each environment. They also refrence on how to prepare Kubernetes clusters, configure storage and networking resources, and validate that the deployment is operational after installation.
