Categories of data in a backup file

A backup file of IBM® Guardium® Key Lifecycle Manager contains critical data. For example, depending on your configuration, it can include the key materials, configuration file, and other information.

The following categories of data require backup protection:

IBM Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager configuration files

Properties that define selected IBM Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager activities such as audit settings and other values that you customize for your system configuration.

IBM Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager database

Data about IBM Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager objects such as devices, key groups, certificates, key materials, and drives.
