Managing preinstalled client root certificates

You can view and manage the preinstalled certificates in IBM Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager.

About this task

The preinstalled certificates are the device root certificates that are already imported in IBM Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager. These certificates are used for secure communication between IBM Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager and the endpoints. An encryption endpoint certificate is automatically trusted if it is signed by any of the preinstalled root device certificates.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the graphical user interface.
  2. On the home page, click the menu icon (Menu icon) at the upper left of the page.
  3. Click Configuration > Encryption endpoint certificates.
  4. On the Encryption endpoint certificates page, click the settings icon (Settings icon) and select Show preinstalled certificates.
All the preinstalled root device certificates along with endpoint certificates are listed in the table. The Show preinstalled certificates option toggles to Hide preinstalled certificates.
  5. Click Hide preinstalled certificates to hide the preinstalled certificates.
  6. You can also run the following operations on the listed certificates.
