Exporting and importing keys

You can enable data transfer between two IBM® Guardium® Key Lifecycle Manager servers by exporting the keys (symmetric or private) from one server (source) and importing them into the other server (target).

Depending on the IBM Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager version on your server, you can use one of the following methods to export and import keys:

Note: If the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) compliance is enabled in IBM Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager, you cannot export the symmetric keys.
