Trying IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager trial version and activating a purchased license
When you install IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager, it is in trial mode by default. You can use the fully functional IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager trial version to explore its features for 90 days. In the trial version, you get access to all IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager features for the trial period.
Before you begin
You can obtain the IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager license file from the IBM® Passport Advantage® website (https://www.ibm.com/software/passportadvantage/pao_customer.html).
To find the license file on the IBM
Passport Advantage website, search for the
M0G0HML part number and download the file. The SGKLM_4.2.1_LICENSE_MP.zip
is
downloaded. Rename the SGKLM_4.2.1_LICENSE_MP.zip
file to
gklm.license.zip
.
About this task
After the trial period, that is, 90 days, IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager goes into read-only mode. In read-only mode, you can view the data that you created but cannot modify existing data or create new data. To continue the use of IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager, you must upload and activate a valid license file.
