Unable to view device groups on the Welcome page of a migrated IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager server

For an IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager server that is integrated with LDAP user repositories, after the inline migration process completes, the IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager administrator is unable to view device groups on the Welcome page of the migrated server.

This issue is a known limitation.

Solution or Workaround

Ensure that the user that performed the inline migration is added to the klmSecurityOfficerGroup group.

To add the user to the klmSecurityOfficerGroup, complete these steps:

  1. Log in to the IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager user interface.
  2. Go to User Management.
  3. In the User Management page, click Add.
  4. Click Select an LDAP user.
  5. Enter the user name of the user that you want to add and click Search.
  6. From the search results, select the user and click Add.
  7. Go to the Assign Groups tab. Assign klmSecurityOfficerGroup to the user and click Save.
  8. Click Exit.
