Use the User Management page to add a user in IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager. Depending on the functions that you want the
user to perform, assign it the associated roles or groups.
Procedure
- Access the User Management page.
- Log in to the graphical user interface by using your credentials.
- Click User Management.
The
Users page opens that displays a list of the users and LDAP groups along with
their assigned roles and groups.
- Click Add.
The Add User
Assignment window is displayed.
- Click the User Name tab to add a file-based user, an LDAP user, or
an LDAP group.
- LDAP user

- Select Select LDAP user.
- Specify the user name and click Search.
- From the search results, select the LDAP user.
- Click Select.
- LDAP group

- Select Select LDAP group.
- Specify the group name and click Search.
Note: Ensure that the group name
does not contain the special characters except period (.), space ( ), and underscore
(_).
- From the search results, select the group.
- Click Select.
- File-based user

- To create a file-based user, select Create file-based user.
- Specify a user name, password, and conform the password in the respective fields.
- Click Create.
- Assign a role to the user.
- When you create a file-based user, select an LDAP user, or LDAP group, the
Assign Roles tab is selected.
- From the list of roles, select the roles that you want to assign. For more information
about a role, you can review its tooltip.
- Click Save.
- Assign a group to the user.
- Click the Assign Groups tab.
- From the list of groups, select the group that you want to assign. For more
information about a group, you can review its tooltip.
- Click Save.
- Click Exit.
The user is added to the IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager server.
