Getting started with IBM Guardium DSPM
You can protect your cloud environment data and SaaS application data with IBM Guardium DSPM that provides Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) capabilities. Guardium DSPM is an independent component of IBM Guardium® Data Security Center SaaS.
DSPM This content is available through the Guardium DSPM module.
Guardium DSPM helps you with:
- Removing sensitive data from data stores
- Modifying roles to prevent unauthorized access to the sensitive data
- Securing data stores with vulnerabilities
- Assistance to make data compliant to the data policies, as applicable
Before you connect Guardium DSPM with different cloud accounts and SaaS applications, ensure that you make note of the supported software and the permissions.
With Guardium DSPM, you can connect cloud accounts and SaaS applications to discover vulnerabilities and sensitivities:
- Connecting IBM Guardium DSPM with SaaS applications
- Connecting IBM Guardium DSPM with Amazon Web Services cloud accounts
- Connecting IBM Guardium DSPM with Google Cloud Project accounts
- Connecting IBM Guardium DSPM with Microsoft Azure cloud accounts
After you have connected the cloud accounts, you can install the DSPM Analyzer in different regions. You can also remove a connected cloud account, if required.
After connection of cloud accounts and SaaS applications, you can view and manage the sensitivities discovered in different data stores, third parties that have access to the connected data stores, and the vulnerabilities that pose security and compliance risks.
You can draw insights about your cloud data and take corrective action, if required, to secure your cloud data through the information displayed in the following tabs of the Guardium DSPM pane:
