Managing OAuth clients

You can authorize external applications to access the Guardium® Data Security Center web services by using the Open Authorization (OAuth) protocol. OAuth is the industry-standard security protocol for authorization.

DDR In OAuth, the applications are called clients. The OAuth client uses the access token that is issued by an authentication server (IBM® Security Verify) to access the Guardium Data Security Center resources through APIs. To call the web services, the applications must be registered as an OAuth client in Guardium Data Security Center.
