Installing the DSPM analyzer in the relevant regions
You can prioritize the installation of the IBM Guardium DSPM analyzer in a region. The analyzer auto scales automatically to be both cost effective and resource effective. To ensure compliance regulation, deploy the analyzer in every region and thereby the customer data never leaves your cloud accounts and regions.

Guardium DSPM analyzer requires outbound access from the virtual private cloud network and the subnet it is installed on. Guardium DSPM tries to auto detect the access from a public subnet in the region that you want to add to a cloud account. However, you can retry the process of adding the region and modify the configurations manually, if required.About this task
You must install the Guardium DSPM analyzer on the main account that provides data classification for all the cloud provider accounts connected. It is recommended to install the analyzer in all the regions that have discovered data stores.

What to do next
After you have added one or more regions, you can see multiple regions installed for a particular cloud account, but the Guardium DSPM is installed in the region of your preference.
- If the Guardium DSPM analyzer image is not created or found in the region that you want to add to a cloud account, the process of adding the region fails and you will get an error message to contact support to share the image.
- If the type of the Guardium DSPM analyzer instance is not supported in the region that you want to add to a cloud account, the Add Region + button for that region is disabled. You can try to install the analyzer image in some other region.
- If the Guardium DSPM analyzer cannot access main account or the region where the analyzer is installed, the process of adding the region and you will get an error message. Check the permissions to the main account and modify as required. You can try to install the analyzer in the same region after modifying the permissions.
