Manually install Guardium® Data Security Center on IBM Cloud classic infrastructure with OpenShift® Container storage class.

Before you begin

Before you proceed with the installation, complete these steps:
  1. Verify that your environment meets the System requirements and prerequisites and Hardware cluster requirements.
  2. Prepare for installation.
  3. Log in to the OpenShift command-line interface.
  4. Downloading the Guardium Data Security Center CASE file and set up your environment for dependencies.
Important: For offline or air gap installations, your mirroring device must have access to these sites and ports while it is connected to the internet:
  • icr.io:443 for Guardium Data Security Center catalog source and operator
  • cp.icr.io:443 for IBM Entitled Registry
  • github.com for Container Application Software for Enterprises (CASE) and tools
  • quay.io if you are deploying or upgrading to Guardium Data Security Center version 3.6.x or earlier.

About this task

To manually install Guardium Data Security Center on IBM Cloud with classic infrastructure, you must create a Red Hat® OpenShift cluster on IBM Cloud with classic infrastructure, install OpenShift Container Storage, log in to the cluster, and install IBM Cloud Pak® foundational services. Then, install Guardium Data Security Center.
